Belcam Aallegro was by the imported stallion Aachen out of the thoroughbred mare Wilkes Lass. Aallegro had the lot - presence, power, poise & personality typical of the Aachen progeny. His sire Aachen (renamed Azarro) was competing at Medium level dressage and 'B' grade showjumping in Australia prior to being exported to Germany where he competed on the World Cup Showjumping circuit under Holger Wulschner. His grandsire Argentinus was the leading sire by a large margin in the FN statistics for 5 years and in 1992 his progeny led the statistics in all disciplines (dressage, jumping and material classes). Aachen also carries the elegant Anglo-Arab line via Arlequin who distinguished himself be siring excellent jumpers and eventers. Aallegro was a young stallion with a promising future. At only three years of age, he had recently commenced work under saddle and displayed natural athleticism and a willing intelligent temperament. He left behind six magnificent 'boys' of which only three have been shown so far. The three shown progeny have all been awarded Champion or Reserve Champion and have never been unplaced. Two have scored sufficient scores to pass ACE colt classification and the third is a highly successful led hack who will be commencing his dressage career later this year. All progeny matured to between 16 - 17hh even out of smaller mares. All of which displayed the power, elegance and athleticism required to become top performance horses.
