Landstrom has an amazing temperament & is very trainable which is everything you would expect from the bloodlines of Lander (Imp) & Heini by Monopol (Imp). Landstrom had basic dressage training prior to his early retirement due to injury and hence has been used primarily as a breeding stallion. He has been used extensively for breeding to Warmbloods, Arabians, Arabian-Warmbloods, Anglo Arabians and Thoroughbreds. He is a genuine sire that puts his stamp on his foals. There are already many very happy owners of progeny by Landstrom in the Eastern States.
Landstrom foals seem very trainable, not hot, but responsive. He carries the famous 'L' line of showjumpers in Germany going back to Ladykiller and Farnese who sired Falkland, sire of Falkrich and many other successful performance horses here in Australia. His sire Lander (Imp) has produced approx 26 Grand Prix Dressage horses and 22 Grand Prix Showjumping horses here in Australia. Quoted by Pip Geldmacher (former owner of Lander). Landstrom is a very correct and pretty horse and draws attention when seen in public. Landstrom's dam - RV Fabia is by former QLD Dressage squad stallion Heini (by Monopol Imp/dec), she is out of the mare Kijabe Calinga who was sired by Flaneur (Imp).
Landstrom was chosen for his superb temperament, conformation & the excellent quality of his progeny. His progeny on the ground already include an Australian champion colt and filly.
This is a wonderful opportunity for WA breeders to have access to some well recognised bloodlines that were previously unavailable here by natural service. Landstrom covered a number of well bred & well performed mares last season & we eagerly await the arrival of his first WA foal crop early this season.
Landstrom will be available via Natural Service at the stud this season & his service fee includes up to 3 weeks complimentary on stud agistment.
