The Broodmares
Fuerstin Faustina

Fuerstin Faustina and Fuerst Figaro
THE MATRIACH

In 1984 Fuerstin Faustina (by Falkland imp.) was born and from her a true dynasty began. Faustina had 5 fillies and 2 colts before her untimely death in 1999 with the birth of her last colt Rebellion. Her daughters are either broodmares or in the sport and her son FUERST FIGARO is a licensed stallion with ISSA. Faustina passed on her temperament, trainability and fertility.

24 hours after giving birth to Rebellion Faustina died of internal bleeding…. A great loss to us, but she lives on via her fabulous children and grand children.

Fuerstin Finesse

Fuerstin Finesse (left) (BBD Fortune X Falkland - Farnese) dam of: Fabergé, Faroche, Infini and Funtimes
10th Nov. 2002 a Filly by Krack C was born.

Barrabadeen Fortune (exported to the USA) His full-brother BBD Troubadour is a Grand Prix dressage horse. Fortune himself went to FEI, he also evented and showed super technique jumping. Fortune left his mark in Western Australia with many sport horses in all 3 disciplines. The strength of his genetics comes from his dam Fama imp. (by Farnese) who was Barrabadeen’s matriarch. Fama’s daughters and grand daughters are highly valued as brood mares.

Fuerstin Funtimes and Annabelle

Fuerstin Funtimes (left) is in foal to the exciting French showjumping stallion Hold Up Premier (Narcos II x Quidam de Revel) for the 2005 season. Annabelle (right) (on lease from Louisa Abramich) is by Ahorn out of the imported mare Lorissa (Lordon)and she is in foal to DvZ Fuerst Infini (Indoctro) for th 2005 season.

Barrabadeen Astral

Barrabadeen AstralBarrabadeen Astral (left)
Wildfeuer imp. X Astrid – Calypso I
Born 1984 – HHAA High Stud Book
Astral was purchased in 1999 in foal to the champion showjumping stallion Collins. Astral was bred at the well known Barrabadeen Stud in WA. Her Sire Wildfeuer sired many sport horses including World Cup Showjumpers (i.e.Maximus, White Dimple) Astrid was imported in uterus by Fama the matriarch of Barrabadeen Stud. This Dam line produced sport horses to the highest level in dressage as well as showjumping. i.e.
BBD Troubadour, BBD Fortune, Supa Nova, the stallion BBD Talent, Wild Flame, to name a few. When I worked at Barrabadeen, Astral was one of the horses I would want to own. Ten years later this wish came true.

Fuerst Chirac

Above is the gelding Fuerst Chirac by Collins (imp Holst) Chirac was born 5th February 2000 out of BBD Astral. A horse with a great trainable temperament, lovely paces and good jumping technique. Chirac carries 3 crosses to the super sire Cor de la Bryere (Selle Francais) Part owned with the Morisson family of Victoria. Chirac will be starting his jumping career later in 2003.

Fuerstin Desiré

Fuerstin DesireFuerstin Desiré is a mare I bred out of the thoroughbred mare Dancing Ash (Maitre de Danse x Jungle Boy). She is by the Dutch imported stallion Dutchman (Le Mexico x Amor). On 19th November 2002 she had a fiily foal call Fuesrtin Dixi by Feust Figaro and she is in foal to Fuerst Figaro again.
The combination of Dutchman and Fuerst Figaro with the influx of the thoroughbred should produce the modern sport horse suitable for dressage and showjumping. I look forward very much to this foal!
Dutchman is a true all rounder as a sport horse producer and stallion sire(Decade; Torlea Van Dieman; AEA Dutch Gem; AEA Dutch Lorel, Dutch Treat, Dutch Boy).
Desiré’s full brother Debonair is sold to David and Linda Dobson of Argyle Showjumping Stables.

Desire’s 2003 colt by Fuerst Figaro: DvZ Fuerst Fidelio has been sold as a yearling to Sven Targett. On Christmas Day 2004 she had a lovely filly by DvZ Fuerst Infini
