Krystelle Park Stud purchased 'Special' in 1998 after a long search throughout Australia looking for the right type of pony to compliment my mares, with temperament, movement, style and looks, but also with the willingness to learn. I finally found Special in Queensland, it was love at first sight, he was everything I was looking for.I broke Special in soon after his arrival and discovered his amazing ability to turn his hooves at anything with absolute ease. Special has an amazing keenness to jump and has placed or won every ODE he has entered. In halter he won against QLD and WA's best. His first babies for Krystelle Park are showing the same eagerness to life and learning with amazing movement and natural abilities.
Special has proved to be everything we were hoping for in a sire, his foals for us have been unbelievable, he has passed on his super movement, length of rein and they all have his great keenness to please.
"Krystelle Park Vivacious Sunrise" and "Krystelle Park Dream Catcher" are just 2 of his daughters that will be out in the show ring under saddle in 2005.
Because of Specials amazing jumping ability I have put him over my Showjumping Warmblood mare, Daintree Wunderstar, for a 2004 foal, this foal will hopefully see Krystelle Park stock going international.
This little stallion is certainly worthy of your mare and will produce you an outstanding foal, suited to any equine sport you require.

21st May 2005, Yarrayong Special made his debut at his very first Rodeo event. Competing in the steere un-decorating he did very well to stay with the steere considering the very little experience he has had with cows.
In the barrel race, he done a whopping 18.80 seconds, a three second improvement on his last run. With the shortest legs of them all he done very well to keep up with the big guns.
We look eagerly forward to Special's next event.

Specials Story.
Special is an amazing little pony, not only is he a champion in the show ring and jumping arena, but he is a champion at home too...
One morning after arriving home late the previous night I found that Special had found a way out of his paddock. After a breif search I located him in the 70acre paddock with the mares & yearlings. I noticed that the mares were all standing in one corner whilst Special was with the only yearling colt (Ekolee Classic Prince) in the paddock in another corner. I feared the worst thinking Special had separated the colt from the rest of the group, but wondered why he hadnt rejoined the mares...
I thought I would catch Special first, as he is always easy, and put him away before inspecting the rest of the herd. As I made my way toward him, he saw me and came galloping to me, but instead of coming up to me as he usually did he circled around me and galloped back to where the young colt was standing, doing this repeatedly I was beginning to think he was just being a pest, if I stopped he would just come that little bit closer before turning back to the colt. As I got nearer to where the colt was standing I began to notice he was standing a little strangely, forgetting about Special I went to see if Prince was okay, meanwhile Special was still circling me and Prince, as I neared the colt I noticed his hind leg cannon bone had been snapped. One of the mares must have struck out to discourage Special and gotten Prince instead. As I began attending to Prince, Special came over and placed his head in my lap, it was then I realized what he had been doing, just like "Lassie", Special had lead me to the wounded colt and wasn't going to let me near him until I had seen to Prince first.
It was nothing short of amazing to witness such a thing. Special had chosen to stay with Prince than to go back to a large group of mares. He is truly our very own little super star.
