We got Lacey in July 2015 for my 10yr old daughter who was a beginner rider. Lacey herself had only recently been broken in, having spent a number of years as a brood mare. My daughter started on the lead line before progressing to riding by herself in the lunge yard and eventually riding all over our property within a couple of months. In 2016 we took Lacey to Busselton Pony Club for a season. The first rally was started on the lead line mainly to re-assure my daughter. Lacey was unbothered by anything, including the novelties which she had never seen before. In Oct 2016 we took Lacey to her first show where she was completely reliable and honest. She placed in all of her classes, coming first twice, second twice, third once and fourth twice.
Unfortunately my daughter has both out grown Lacey and lost interest. We have grown quite fond of her, but we know it is a waste for such a lovely pony to be left as a paddock ornament. She is kind and sensitive, requiring only light aids. She needs a quiet rider but one that does not need to be brave. She is for some reason very wary of men but fine with kids of both sexes, and was previsouly leased to children as young as seven. Lacey has never given me cause to worry about the safety of my daughter, either on the ground or in the saddle.
Offered for sale with saddle, bridle, rugs etc.
Price is negoitable but her home is not. My preference is for her to go to an experienced horse home as she is still a little on the green side and is quite sensitive. Lacey will look to her rider for re-assurance.
She is in light work/paddock condition.
