On Boxing Day - Dec 26th, traditionally the Blockbuster release day of the year, you will have the chance to see Steven Spielbergs movie - 'Warhorse'.
Having been lucky enough to attend a pre screening, I would definately encorouge you to go and see, on the big screen, this visually beautiful movie.
Warhorse is based on the wonderful children's novel by English Author Michael Morpurgo. It is also an amazing West End Play. It is rated M though, due to its war themes.
The story is as heart warming as it is heart wrenching. World War One was terrible on what ever level you look at it but Steven Speilberg has produced a masterpiece of beauty, loyalty and even humour. A boy, Albert, has a horse, Joey, and at the outbreak of WW1 the horse is sold to the cavalry. It follows the horse's journey through the war. It explores the hopelessness of war, the senselessness but also the courage of men and beast alike. It interestingly shows the the war through English, French and German eyes.
I wont give away the ending but it is a must see film for everyone, not just horse lovers.
Cavalletti is giving away tickets with each purchase of an ad package. This offer expires on 25th Dec so get in quick. Details at Warhorse Competition
