Reflections on 2011

Cavalletti recently contacted some prominent figures on the Equestrian scene both locally and nationally and asked them a selection of questions about the past year and the year to come.

Question: What do you think was the most important thing to happen on the Australian Equestrian scene in 2011.

 AnswerI think having Equestrian Grand Final played on free to air TV was a definite highlight for the equestrian world, and hopefully there will be many more in 2012.

 Question: What was the best moment/highlight for you and your horse in 2011?

 Answer:  Finally having everything we’re working towards come together.

 Question: What was your best competition result in 2011?

 Answer: Champion Rider and Res Champion Horse

 Question: What do you think was the most important event to happen in the world in 2011?

 Answer: Upsetting but still so important to the world was the natural disasters of 2011, especially the Tsunami in Japan.

 Question: Who was the most influential person in your life in 2011?

 Answer: No one really stands out.  So many people have generously assisted causes I’m involved with

 Question: What was your favourite movie for 2011?

 Answer: Does War Horse count?  I’m not sure if I really saw any movies in 2011….

Question: What was your best Christmas present?

 Answer:  Time off!

 Question: What would you like to see change in your equestrian discipline for 2012.

 Answer: I think that there needs to be more quality control from a higher authority over the running of events, to ensure that people get value for money and that all the many helpers are properly looked after, so they will continue to volunteer at events for years to come.

Question: What are your goals for 2012?

 Answer: To continue to increase the education and skills of horse people in WA, and provide an outstanding service and education that is professional and valuable.

Question: What do you think was the most important thing to happen on the Australian Equestrian scene in 2011.

Answer:   The partnerships between PCAWA and EA  and Inglis and EA.

Question: What was the best moment/highlight for you and your horse in 2011?

Answer:  I don’t ride now but the success of riders I instruct is always a thrill

Question: What was your best competition result in 2011?

Answer: I Chair Interschool WA the and the success of the WA  Team at the National Interschool Championships was the best result with which I was associated

Question: What do you think was the most important event to happen in the world in 2011?

Answer: The natural disasters and the economic situation in Europe certainly stand out

Question: Who was the most influential person in your life in 2011?

Answer:  No one really stands out.  So many people have generously assisted causes I’m involved with

Question: What was your favourite movie for 2011?

Answer: The King’s Speech

Question: What was your best Christmas present?

Answer:  The Equestrian Year Book – L’Annee Hippique

Question: What would you like to see change in your equestrian discipline for 2012?

Answer:  A very generous sponsor for the INTERSCHOOL WA CHAMPIONSHIPS 2012

Question: What are your goals for 2012?

Answer:  To remain in good health to continue in all the rewarding  activities  I’m currently involved in.
