More Reflections on 2011

Cavalletti recently contacted some prominent figures on the Equestrian scene both locally and nationally and asked them a selection of questions on the past year and the year to come.

Question: What do you think was the most important thing to happen on the Australian Equestrian scene in 2011.
Answer: As a breeder I am not really that well informed on happenings that might affect riders more.


Question: What was the best moment/highlight for you and your horse in 2011?

Answer: I have multiple horses out with their owners in dressage, jumping and eventing. One of the highlights has been to see DvZ Debonaire competing 1 and 2*, but also see DvZ Fabergé jumping in the Patrons Cup.


Question: What was your best competition result in 2011?

Answer: DvZ Debonaire with Rebecca Thomas won a 1* event on his dressage score, that was quite something.


Question: What do you think was the most important event to happen in the world in 2011?

Answer: I suppose the natural disasters and this financial situation world wide.


Question: Who was the most influential person in your life in 2011?

Answer:  I have been touched by many people, including the younger generation, the international workers, but my brother has been of great influence.


Question: What was your favourite movie for 2011?

Answer: Red Dog


Question: What was your best Christmas present?

Answer: The Master from Les Carlyon about Bart Cummings


Question: What would you like to see change in your equestrian discipline for 2012? 

Answer: The recognition of breeders and that horses's bloodlines are recognised, just as they do in Europe.


Question: What are your goals for 2012? 

Answer: To be able to find more nice people who want to own a DvZ horse. Stay in good health and spend more times with friends.

Question: What do you think was the most important thing to happen on the Australian Equestrian scene in 2011?

 Answer: I cant really think of any one thing,but the good thing noticed at competitions is that the quality of horses is getting very much better.

 

Question: What was the best moment/highlight for you and your horse in 2011?

Answer: just being able to get out to a competition with my young horse Richard was very exciting... I am away from home a lot with coaching and it seemed when I was home all the comps were rained out.

 

Question: What was your best competition result in 2011?

 Answer: getting a good percentage in elementary was great with Richard.

 

Question: What do you think was the most important event to happen in the world in 2011?

Answer: not sure if you mean in horse world or other.. but the floods in Queensland were I live was a very big event.

 

Question:Who was the most influential person in your life in 2011? 

Answer: Politicians or sporting legends who do good thinkgs for everyone I am always impressed by

 

Question: What was your favourite movie for 2011?

Answer: War Horse

Question: What was your best Christmas present?

Answer: trees for my garden

 

Question: What would you like to see change in your equestrian discipline for 2012? 

Answer: more riders encouraged to be judges

 

Question:What are your goals for 2012?

Answer: a happy and safe year for family and friends,to be able to keep coaching my pupils to be better riders and train their horses to do quality work,  and to ride my young horse at medium this year.
