Sad sale of a smoochy gelding. Well handled on the ground, has been educated in natural horsemanship. Unfortunately I haven’t the time to continue this under saddle.
Apollo is broken in but still green. He is easy to catch, float and for farrier.
He moves out under saddle, and initially can be fresh and fast but does settle. How long this takes depends on how much work he has had.
Apollo loves getting out and about and is generally an easy ride. He does like to look at things but with minimal fuss and keeps going.
Apollo cannot be registered with AHAA, and has scars from an earlier trauma, so probably won’t suit a showing career.
He hasn’t shown a liking of jumping so I doubt he will do well in eventing or show jumping. He may do well in dressage as he has a lovely movement.
I feel Apollo would be best suited to a farm, trekking or trails environment, although he may enjoy western riding or gymkhana.
As a typical Andy, he can present attitude challenges. He is not suited to beginners due to this and a lack of education.
I had hoped to bring him along for my beginner daughter but personal challenges have prevented me from spending the time he needs. Therefore he needs to go as he is wasted with us, and I can’t afford a paddock ornament.
Currently in paddock condition and barefoot.
