Beautiful Friesian/Percheron x Mare

(I have videos of me riding her but can’t seem to get them uploaded atm. If you are interested please send me your email address and I will email them to you. Last 2 pictures is her sire)
It’s with great sadness I have decided to put this beautiful mare up for sale. I am selling her behalf of my friend as I was meant to buy her myself but are now pregnant with twins and have to be realistic in how much time I will be able to give this horse in the next few years.
I have leased Pearl from her owner for a year and together we have been on adult riders club, trail rides and training weekends at one of my friends agistment centres. Pearl was very green when I took her so spent the first few months on groundwork only. I personally really like Buck Brannaman training techniques so have tried to keep my training as true as possible to his ideas and has worked so well with this horse.  We have done lots of riding with a loose rein and the main aim has been focus, relaxation and finding her own balance. She is therefore not dressage trained as such ( as I am not a dressage rider as you can see on the videos) but she has such a good work ethic and so willing to learn that once she’s relaxed she is easy to train.
She is what I would call a bit of a nervous horse, not on the extreme scale at all but does require a confident and patient rider. Once you can guide that nervous energy and get her to focus you have a horse that is forward, light and responsive. For her size she is very athletic and can keep her canter in fairly small circles.
I have never ridden her out by myself as out on the trail is where she lacks confidence the most. I have a trusty thoroughbred that is super confident when going out so have ridden her out with him. This is an area where I just haven’t had the time to build up her confidence enough so have “cheated” a bit by using another horse as trainer.  When out with him we have had great rides but with horses she doesn’t know I certainly have had to work hard at times to keep her focused. But I have never felt that she is wanting to buck me off or do anything nasty.
I love these type of horses that looks to their rider for guidance and re-assusrance and wish for her to go to someone that likes those types of horses too. She does require regular work both for her mental but also physical wellbeing as she is a very good doer and this horse deserves to be with someone that can put the time in and show her what’s out there. She is very inquisitive and social and not a horse that just want to spend her life in a paddock.
She is super friendly on the ground, both towards humans and other horses. Never been shod and can be ridden on any type of surface barefoot. Easy to float, worm and love being washed!
She has alway been in paddocks wit other horses so will not be sold to someone that intends to keep her in a paddock on her own. She is such a social horse and I fear that would make her very depressed.
Please give me a call and I am happy to answer all your questions. I really want her to go to the right person which can provide her with a long term home so will do everything I can to ensure it’s the right fit before she gets sold.
