Robbie is a beautiful, athletically built TB gelding who is very affectionate and always comes to greet you at the paddock gate. He is good to catch, clip, shoe and float (angle loads).
Everyone who has ever met Robbie always comments on his beautiful temperament and he is a firm favourite at my yard.
In Robbie’s previous home he evented up to 80cm and went to the state dressage championships where he performed well.
I originally bought Robbie to show jump and event however he is unlikely to be suitable for this. Robbie has arthritis in his near hind fetlock and whilst he is not lame at all on this leg he is unlikely to perform to the level I’m after.
Robbie’s ideal home would be somewhere where is part of the family. He is very smart and enjoys having a job to do which is why he would thrive with someone interested in natural horsemanship. I have started clicker training him and he has proven to be a fast learner (more than happy to work for a treat). Robbie is fine to be paddocked by himself or with others. Robbie absolutely loves his food but never gets grumpy or possessive.
Please note, Robbie is not currently in ridden work due to suspected back pain. He has already had X-rays to rule out kissing spines. If someone is willing to work up this issue he would also make a wonderful dressage mount as he has a beautiful flowing walk and an expressive trot.
