Faith is a 5yr old Andalusian cross.

We have had Faith since May 2023. She had limited handling prior and was very skittish to catch and handle. 

She has come a very long way since then, but still needs work with her confidence. 

She has been under saddle in light work (a couple of times a week) since August 2023 and is coming along very well. She will be an amazing horse with another 12 months work but is just a bit too green for her current owner.

In some ways she is exceptional, she is a lovely soul to hang out with and has no dirt, she has never bucked or reared. She has had a lot of groundwork, long reining, good to tie up, you can jump up and down next to her, throw the whip all around her. Good to float.

Faith has 3 beautiful consistent paces and is very comfortable with a natural head carriage.

She has been ridden by quite a few different people of different levels and had people practice vaulting on her. She has done some pole work and low jumps and been ridden out of the arena. She has also been ponied off of other horses. 
Under saddle she can sometimes rush forward and be a bit sensitive, but she never bolts off or does anything unpredictable. 

 

She can still be a pain to catch and needs more work, possibly join up work and her coming up to you in the round yard and paddock. 

She is good to work with on the ground, free lunge and lunge on the lunge rein 

She can also still be a bit silly walking through gates and in and out of the stable and will sometimes rush through even though we have worked on this since we’ve had her!

In some ways she is very brave and sensible. Horses or bicycles can go down the bridle trail while you are riding and she wont even look twice, Machinery, the blower, trucks, whipper snipping, dogs are absolutely no issue. Other horses can be cantering and jumping around her in shared lessons and this doesn’t phase her at all. 

Faith just needs a confident person who doesn’t get phased at her quirks and once you have her trust she will be a wonderful companion. 

We would be open to a longer trial or possible lease with an option to a genuine home as we just want her to go to a home where she can flourish.
