i have come to the heartbreaking decision of putting my gorgeous Finnegan up for sale ?
12 year old, brown off the track thoroughbred gelding.
i have owned finn for about 6 months, before coming to me he had very little education so a lot of improvements have been made in our short time together.
he has placed in every event we have entered, competing up to prelim dressage, 80cm showjumping, 65cm eventing, 80cm hunter trials and 60cm tetrathlon.
he has trained up to 1* cross country, 1m showjumping and novice dressage. he goes straight through water & is fine to be stabled, must always have a horse in sight though, or he will become stressed.
finn has a very loving nature and is extremely friendly. he is perfect for the farrier, dentist and to worm ect. there is a particular way you have to float him which will be explained to serious enquiries! he is an extremely good doer, being on 2 biscuits of hay a day, stabled overnight & in green paddocks during the day and is just on one scoop of oaten chaff, one scoop of lucerne and one scoop of crushed lupins twice a day.
finn will only be sold to an experienced home and rider as he can get hot when out competing and has an extremely huge jump! he will chuck in a buck when he is fresh but when in full work he is a saint. a firm, but soft rider would be perfect for him.
finn is up for sale due to no fault of his own! i’m currently competing in eventing and mounted games but from next year onwards i will be stopping eventing and just doing games, therefor i no longer need a big horse.
he is a very quick learner and when you put the time in you definitely see results!
NO TIME WASTERS!! price is negotiable, home is not!!!
