‘Casanova’ is a tall, well built, eye catching gelding that is regretfully for sale due to me having twin babies plus a farm & he deserves to start his new career. Standing over 17 hands, he is 4.5 years old. He has the build of his Warmblood cross dam (‘Chopin’ – Ludendorff and Abbey Bloodline x thoroughbred) and the athleticism of his thoroughbred father (Aly Kingston x Donavor NZ TB).

Casanova was started when he was 2.5 years old and broken in enough for three outside of the yard rides, due to me not being able to ride carrying twins he was put out in the paddock with his father to grow.

2 years later he has recently had 6 weeks ground work, building muscle and working on transitions and collection. He has also been over a few jumps freely jumping 90cm and is showing potential here also. Casanova has only had a couple rides since back in work and has a bit of spook when he feels insecure. For this reason, he now needs an experienced, rider with confidence to allow him to relax. When this issue is resolved by the right person, there is a lot of potential in this horse in a range of disciplines. I simply do not have more weeks and months to give him this work.

On ground even though he is a very tall horse, he has respect and manners and is quite used to farm noises and animals and leads from a vehicle. He is a calm horse and doesn’t seem to mind when he is away from other horses and focusses on what you are asking him. He has a very trainable but sensitive nature. He has been on the float a few times when he was younger.

Casanova does have a lump in his left false nostril, he has been taken to the vet in Kojonup and have had swabs and the test results have come back as ‘…The mass is an inclusion cyst or “Atheroma” seen most commonly in the false nostril…” As the vet said these don’t cause any discomfort or obstruction to the breathing they are purely cosmetic and can get taken off whenever in a basic procedure.

Casanova must go to a home that is experienced and knowledgeable about green horses or even go to the breakers/trainer to further his ridden education for it to be safe for all. As mentioned very regretful sale as 4.5 years ago we bred him specifically for me to compete in eventing again but I have to be fair to him and he is in the stage of his life when he wants to learn and will make a super partner for the right person.

Vet checks welcome, no trials, can deliver. We are 3 hours south of Perth & 2 hours from Bunbury.
