Quiet and Extremely elegant Purebred Arabian Gelding.
Lovely to ride, beautiful movement.
Currently shod and in light work.
No history of lameness or injuries. He has only ever been in light work so his joints should be in excellent condition.
Dessie has done flat work, riding lessons, bush riding and a bit of jumping. He is very comfortable to ride with lovely even paces. He is not lazy but does not pull or race when out on bush rides. He is alert and keen but not difficult to control. Can be ridden out alone or with other horses. He shows a great aptitude for jumping.
Currently in light work, being ridden 1-2 times weekly. He is the type of horse that you can leave in the paddock and he won’t be naughty or forget his training if he has a bit of a break.
Lovely elevated movement with good conformation.
Lovely to handle and he is very responsive to ground work and when being ridden. Professionally handled and broken in by Fred Watkins from Watkins Horse Handlers.
He can be protective over his feed with other horses – he very occasionally can kick out (not at people – he is extremely well mannered around people). He is generally very good to paddock on his own or with other horses.
Dessie is a beautiful horse that is amazingly comfortable and responsive to ride. He has a lovely soft mouth and can be ridden with gentle hands.
He is easy going around distractions – not fussed by being ridden around other horses, dogs or kids and bikes.
Ties solid and great to saddle up – just stands still.
Stands still to mount – he is trained to mount from a one rain stop ie neck bent towards you, but can also be mounted in traditional style. Also stands still to be mounted with a mounting block.
Would suit a competant and knowledgable rider to take advantage of his soft mouth and beautiful movement.
