Laz is a 16hh 16 year old Anglo Arab. Sire: Tawarri Park
Sharazick (Arab), Dam: Astra Star (TB). Laz is a big, chunky, sweet, smooch,
tall-dark and handsome boy. He is absolutely amazing around children. He is
happy for them to climb over him and pamper him all day. He is great to shoe,
worm, clip etc. He is currently barefoot, with his feet done four weeks ago. He
has also had a dental and has been drenched two weeks ago. He was a little
hesitant when he noticed that he was the one having the dental, but with a bit
of persuasion was fine. I have never had to put him on a float, but have been
told that he can be a hesitant with a float, if he doesn’t know you or if it
has been awhile, as well.
Laz is happy by himself or in a group. He is currently in a
paddock with other horses. He has done a lot of dressage in his past, along
with trail riding, beach, adult riders, etc. His previous owner jumped him up
to about 80cms, but he can become quite forward when jumping. He can work in a
frame and has learned the aids. He can be a bit of a tourist when doing arena
work and can get easily distracted. He doesn’t take too much convincing, but if
you let him get away with it, he will.
Laz has some white lines on all 4 of his legs from elastic
topped fly boots he wore for about a week at one of his previous owners. They
don’t bother him at all and are just aesthetics (pressure scars). They don’t
worry me, but can be easily covered by ravens oil if you are showing etc.
There is not a nasty bone in this horse’s body, however, he
is not a beginner horse. If you know what you are doing, he can be a lot of fun
and a perfect horse for pleasure, lessons, arena, pony club or adult riders.
Unfortunately, I am not a confident rider and Laz, who is not an alpha horse,
gets his confidence from his rider. Therefore, we have not been the right fit
and I have to find an owner better suited to him.
He comes with his bridle, some boots, a couple of rugs and saddle pads.
