Jay is a total dude. He’s only 5, but we’ve spent some time on the trails, popped over some small jumps (which he LOVES!) and been out and about a bit to give him some experience. He was professionally started by Neil Innes about one and half years ago and has been ridden regularly ever since. He’s also had 6 weeks with Erwin at The Western Ranch.Jay loves to be busy. He has a quick brain and learns fast. He’s bold, honest and a lot of fun. He would LOVE to do some pony club games, go on adventures and find his special person. He’s kind, loving, affectionate and a bit of a boof head. He’s sensitive to aids, has a very soft mouth and stops on your seat. He has a big, gorgeous trot – much bigger than you’d expect for his size! Unfortunately I am too boring for him. I am an older rider and I’m not the pony club games type and I feel like I’m letting him down a bit. He has a great future but needs a partner in crime who will take him out and do lots of fun stuff – a confident kid or teenager will have an absolute blast with this guy.Although there’s no doubt that Jay’s going incredibly well for his age, he is only 5 and is still young so I would not recommend him for beginners. He’s up to date with teeth, feet, worming etc.
