UPDATE; MAGGIE IS CURRENTLY ON TRIAL*****
We have owned Maggie for over 2 years. In that time she and my daughter have attended regular pony club rallies and events, competed in Show jumping and dressage competitions, stock horse events, XC training and the 2018 PCWA state dressage competition. Maggie is easy to take out and camp with. Went indoors at the SEC and was easy to stable there all weekend.
She is easy for my daughter to wash and plait, self loads on the float. Good for the farrier and has great feet, we have never had any health issues with her and she has just had her teeth/vaccination/oil and drench done.
Maggie is currently competing 65cm SJ and prelim dressage. She has loads of scope training 80+cm at home and working on leg yielding and walk to canter at home. She and my daughter have brought home many ribbons, including being part of the Gingamurrah team that came 3rd at State Dressage.
Maggie is great in group situations but does lack confidence when out solo and therefore we have found her unsuitable for XC as she becomes spooky, but this is not an issue if she is with other horses.
She is a strong chunky pony and can easily carry a larger rider but has been easy for my daughter to handle her in every way since she was only 8 yrs old. She has good ground manners isn’t too forward or stubborn. She has striking cob looks. Easy to keep, can paddock her with mares or geldings or by herself. She doesn’t latch onto other horses, no separation anxiety and no stable vices. She comes with her registration papers.
We are on a farm and she is used to all the goings on here with motorbikes, sheeps, cows, tractors, alpaca’s dogs etc. None of these things phase her in the least. She is good with cattle and has rounded them up on the farm as well as having a few go’s with campdrafting.
No leases ( please don’t ask ) Must go to a loving home with other horses or ponies. She would be ideal for a family that wishes to do pony club or stockhorse events/campdrafting. We are located 2 hours drive from Perth.
