been ridden consistently in a riding school from Jan 2016 – Mar 2021.
been used to teach mostly “beginner children with disabilities” for the past 5
years, he is voice trained and quiet when ridden in arena group lessons, and is
most happy to follow the horse in front. He will do anything to keep his rider
and trainer happy (so praise and a pat works wonders to keep him moving forward
and happily). Most of these beginner riders have needed the help from a “side-runner”
assistant, so he would suit RDA, or Equine therapy, or a family that rides,
with one child who has very special needs.
the past (2016 – 2017) been ridden by experienced teens to PC, and
competitions, where he is / was best suited to Show Jumping. In 2016 and 2017 he competed in PC state SJ
championships 80cm and placed in his class. Whilst training for these 80cm SJ
competitions, he has jumped up to 125cm, but not in the last three years.
During his time at PC, he has been floated to competitions and rallies all over
the state, floats well. He can be “nappy”, so needs experienced family / handler, and is currently a bit out of
practice for competitions, as he has mostly been ridden by beginners past 1 or
Oscar is an OTTB, so does like to have a buddy
with him, so does not really suit Eventing. No Vices. Patient, will stand tied up.
Currently in light riding school work, two front shoes, good condition, sound.
