Jester - the ultimate farm boy
12 year old 15.1hh gelding stockhorse x brumby.
Jester is the most easy going quiet horse to have around. He is great to catch/shoe/worm/float. You can pull him out of the paddock after months off, jump on bareback with just a halter and he is still the same horse to ride. I would say Jester is as close to bombproof as possible. I bought him from a station up north where he was used for mustering most of his life and really looks after his rider when mustering livestock. He safely got me back into riding after a long break. Jester can happily muster all day long and absolutely loves the bush, I mostly ride out alone and he is perfect with or without other horses. I have also found him to be quite the seahorse, he loves any form of water being the beach, a creek or even a random puddle in the paddock 😂 Jester has attended campdraft clinics and training days, been on a bag a few times and not fazed, he is easy to take anywhere and has no form of separation anxiety. I have had all levels of riders on him in all types of situations however he will only go to an experienced home as he can be stubborn at times and will take advantage of an inexperienced rider (nothing nasty, just stubborn). He has basic education on the flat, still learning to hold himself nicely, he gets better with work and fitness. Has a great stop, bends around your leg, good back up and turns. I can do all those cues on the buckle. Jester does need to be shod all round when in full work. Jesters ideal home would be farm and bush life as he doesn’t enjoy being an arena horse and will start to become lazy if worked in there full time. He doesn’t hold himself in a nice frame which has never bothered me. More videos and pictures available on request. Vet checks welcome at purchasers expense. Jester is currently unfit and out of work and being sold in paddock condition.
This is a very sad sale as I never thought I would part with him however I have come to the realisation that I just do not have time for them all. I will be very picky with choosing a good home for him. Serious enquires only please, Located Waroona $6500
