- 1.5-Year-Old Pure Gypsy Cob Filly EMH 14hh
The kind, sensible nature the breed is known for plus next level athleticism
This beautiful young Gypsy Cob filly is looking for her next home.
I may be biased, but this girl really has something special. She definitely has everything you love about the breed – a kind nature, sensible temperament, a magnificent mane (honestly, it's amazing!) and a calm, willing attitude. But what makes her special is her combination of all these qualities with an athleticism that's hard to find in a trusty pure-bred cob.
She moves freely, but it's more than that. She moves lightly and with a rare elegance (I know, an unusual terms for a cob, but I don't know how else to explain it!) She learns quickly and approaches life with confidence and curiosity. She is engaged with her surroundings, enjoys interacting with people and has the sort of natural trainability that makes me excited about her future.
Her looks definitely turn heads, but it's her character that leaves a lasting impression.
- Halter trained
- Good for the farrier
- Walks onto the float (especially if there's a hay bag in there!)
- Easy to catch (see the video!)
- Mixes well with other horses (mares and geldings)
- Very well handled
- Very safe on the ground
She also has lighter feathering than many Gypsy Cobs, making her easier to maintain while still retaining all the beauty the breed is famous for.
At just 1.5 years old she is only beginning to show her potential, but she already possesses the qualities that cannot be taught: intelligence, confidence, kindness and presence.
I'd love her to go to a home that's looking for a reliable steed that will be safe at pony club - but I think she could do so much more. I reckon she'd love a bit of cross country and could be an absolute champ in the dressage arena - she definitely has that extra sparkle!
She isn't registered yet but can be (I'm terrible at admin, but she has pure bred parents so it won't be a problem - I'm just slow!).
Up to date with worming etc.
