Description
Willow has been my horse for the past 10 years after I got her when I was 13. In that time she’s been the horse I could take anywhere, try anything with and know she’d give me everything she has. She’s kind, reliable and incredibly willing, with experience across a huge range of disciplines.
We’ve done Pony Club, endurance up to 60km, ranch sorting, campdrafting, barrel racing, fox hunts, trail riding and long days mustering cattle.
She loves jumping and dressage, has a nice foundation on the flat and will happily jump anything she’s pointed at. She’s forward and responsive, so while she’s taught beginners and helped nervous riders regain confidence, she’s best suited to a confident rider. She was recently leased by a 13-year-old girl for lessons and they got along really well.
Willow is equally happy ridden alone or in company and has no issue leaving other horses. Traffic, machinery, cattle and busy rodeo environments don’t worry her. She’ll tie to the float all day and happily settle into a night yard afterwards.
I’ve pulled her from the paddock after six months off, without riding or lunging first, and taken her straight to a ranch sorting competition where a confident beginner competed her. They had a great time and she didn’t put a foot wrong. She’s trustworthy and reliable.
She self-loads, is good for the farrier, barefoot and has no known soundness or health issues. Selling because I’ve changed discipline. Currently in full work.
