I purchased Rosie just over 5 years ago intending to bring her on and compete, but unfortunately we’ve had more setbacks than successes. Due to personal circumstances, I’ve accepted I can’t give her the life she deserves and am looking for the right home.

Rosie is a sweet, genuinely lovely mare. She’s easy to catch, rug and shoe, enjoys people and has beautiful movement.

Rosie can be spooky and has separation anxiety, so she’s not suited to a beginner or inexperienced home. She prefers living with other horses and would not enjoy being kept alone.

She has ongoing soundness issues and is currently paddock sound, having recently only been in light work. Following a floating incident in 2021, she developed headshaking, which has improved significantly after a procedure but can still appear during stress. She has been assessed by multiple vets and I’m happy to discuss her history with genuinely interested people.

She can be hesitant to load on the float, but will go on and has travelled intermittently on a straight load over the past few years.

Potential companion with other horses, broodmare/recipient mare (maiden), or future project for an experienced person who understands there are no guarantees with her soundness.

As at 23 September 2026, Rosie has had a 4-week spell at agistment while I’ve been away.
