Description
17yo | 12.2hh Welsh B Palomino Mare Our much-loved stable favourite is looking for her next little rider.
She has been a wonderful pony for our family and has taught both of my daughters to walk, trot and canter, making her a lovely first-ridden and lead-rein pony.
About her:• 17 years old, 12.2hh Welsh B palomino mare
• Great for the farrier — currently barefoot
• Easy to catch, worm and float
• No buck, bolt or rear
• Soft mouth — doesn’t require a strong hand
• Soft off the leg and easy to get moving — definitely not a kick-along pony
• Experienced with children and has been a much-loved family pony
• Can do a little hump going into canter while finding the correct lead
• A genuine stable favourite who has been loved dearly
Her quirks:
She dislikes water and the beach.
Jumping is not her favourite activity. She is generally happy to trot over smaller jumps, but anything over around 45cm is not her forte. She may duck out if given the opportunity, so a confident/stronger rider is required to ride her positively through bigger jumps. She is whip-sensitive, so long sticks used in mounted games can be challenging. We haven't done a lot of games riding and haven't pushed this issue. She is sadly only available because my daughters have outgrown her in height. We would much rather see her go on to another family where she can continue to be loved and enjoyed than become a paddock ornament.
She is not a pony for every rider, but for the right little rider and family, she has so much to offer.
Located in hopeland Serious enquiries welcome.
