Description

DARK ASSAULT — “SPIKE”
9-year-old Thoroughbred gelding | Approx. 16.1hh
Sire: Statue of Liberty
Dam: Thornly Beauty

Offered on behalf of his owner.

Spike is a sweet, affectionate gelding who loves attention and was a stable favourite.

Having last raced over three years ago, he has since been ridden at home and enjoyed small show jumps with his owner. He has learnt to move off the leg.

I recently took Spike to his first outing and first cross-country experience, where he handled the new surroundings well. He stood quietly to mount and was happy to walk around. Initially a little tense watching horses jumping in the distance, he quickly settled, jumping up to 65cm and going through the water. His education will continue to develop with me and more exposure and showjumping the longer he is with me.

Spike is easy to have around and lovely to handle on the ground. He has a quiet nature but is still developing his education under saddle and requires a confident rider to continue bringing him along.

He has recently had his teeth and shoes done.
