A lovely, laid-back boy looking for his next home!
I purchased Trooper approximately 12 months ago, but unfortunately, I haven't had the time or energy to bring him on as planned. He has had a couple of rides in the round yard and one trail ride with me. He is currently in paddock condition and will need bringing back into work slowly and sensibly.
TEMPERAMENT & EXPERIENCE
Trooper previously spent over a year in a riding school and was described as a fantastic horse ridden by people of various ages. He is very much a plodder who enjoys a relaxed pace and prefers following other horses. A home with equine companions would be ideal.
GROUNDWORK & HANDLING
Trooper is a quick learner and has some lovely groundwork established. He can be free-lunged, backs up and turns with a point of the finger, stops when you stop, respects your space and responds well to body language and light cues.
His previous owner reported that he self-loads onto the float and is easy to catch. He is easy to worm, brush and trim.
POTENTIAL
His previous owner reported that he completed a 38km ride and felt he could suit pony club, adult riding groups or endurance with further education. He has smooth paces but reportedly did a small pigroot when asked to canter. Due to being unbalanced or excited/
HIS NEXT HOME
I'm looking for someone who understands he is out of work and is willing to rebuild his fitness and continue his education. My priority is finding him a suitable home where he receives the time and attention he deserves. Winter rugs, halter, lead rope and fly veil included.
