Description
Approx. 16hh of golden good looks, personality and occasional mischief. Registered, papers available.
Goose is a gentle giant with excellent ground manners. Easy to catch (comes to you), self-loads onto the float, good for the farrier and can be pulled from the paddock after a long spell with minimal fresh behaviour.
Experienced in trail riding and obstacle courses, with good leg and seat aids. Best suited to intermediate/experienced riders, although suitable for beginners under instruction in an arena.
Initially aloof, he's goofy, playful and loves scratches. Food is his greatest passion, and he'll loudly remind you of this. An extremely good doer who gets fat just looking at grass!
His less endearing qualities: Dominant with other horses, particularly geldings. Chases livestock. Opens dodgy gate latches, regularly audits your tying-up skills and considers unattended tack, rugs and feed bins recreational equipment. Hates flies.
Excellent health, but contracted heels require regular knowledgeable farrier care. Not suited to har or stony ground barefoot. Ideally suited to a home with a mare companion.
Photos don't do him justice (photography isn't my talent!). Don't ask for additional photos or riding videos. Genuine buyers are encouraged to inspect and test ride in the arena.
His new home will be carefully vetted. The right home matters more than a quick sale.
