The fast and easy way to record the history of your horses Everything you need to record performance, veterinary, farrier, feeding, dentistry, chiropractic, serving, foaling dates, pedigree, progeny and much more!

When did you start your business and why?

Some years ago, my wife Kim asked for an online system to record events for her horse stud, Chalani Australian Stock Horses. I coded a system for Chalani which was used for some years. Kim encouraged me to rewrite the system and provide it to other horse lovers. And thus HorseRecords was born!

What do you LOVE about what you do?

Solving problems and hearing the happy of stories of people using HorseRecords!

How did you first get involved in with the equestrian industry and what attracted you to it?

I met this girl, fell in love and married her. She was into horses. And now I am too!

What is most rewarding about your job; what makes it all worthwhile?

I just love thinking of what horse people need and want in their records tracking and then going away and working out how to code that for them.

What might our members be surprised to know about your business?

Some of the pedigree records in HorseRecords go back 50 years!

Who are your customers? What sort of riding do they do and what kind of horses do they own? How do you help them?

Aged 35ish to 55ish. 80% women, 20% men. All disciplines except racing (racing have their own products that I've chosen not to compete with atm). I help them by providing a tool to keep them organised in a simple and easy way.

What are some of the brands you stock/work with? Which one is your personal favourite?

I dont work with any HorseBrands yet - but I am open to discussing options.

Name one thing about yourself business that new clients might not know.

We run our own stud, that is the oldest Australian Stock Horse stud in South Australia.

Best business compliment you’ve ever received?

A customer shared a post with a feature I've added and simply wrote "This software! Get it!"

What are your dreams for your business?

I want to expand to NZ, the US and then Europe.

Show do you contribute to the equestrian community?

I sponsor almost anything than comes my way. Not only does it help promote the business but it also give something back to the horse community.

If you could own anyone’s horse, whose would it be?

My wife's stallion, Chalani Sunstream. He is so well conformed as well as being an absolute gentleman!

Where is your favourite place in the world?

A tropical beach - somewhere in the Whitsundays!

What are the three things that you would save from your house or business in a fire?

My family, the dog, the laptop.
