Description

Carson Drive

Located in Albany
2015 (9yr old) TB gelding 16hh, very well educated. I’ve owned Carson for the last 5 years. He is currently competing elementary dressage, training medium and has competed up to 95cm eventing and 1m showjumping.
Carson is a versatile and athletic boy. Although he can jump the big heights, I believe he would be better suited to a dressage or all round focused home who would be happy to keep to 65-80cm jumping heights. He is super bold and ‘point and shoot’ at this height but requires a more competent rider for 95cm and above.
Pros-
-Amazing on the ground, very sweet with kids and dogs etc. loves a cuddle and smooch.
-Has all the buttons to make high level dressage prospect.
-Sound, nil history of significant injuries
-Point and shoot at lower heights
is super easy to float/ truck, catch, clip, handle etc

Cons-
-Has soft and flat typical TB feet, so needs shoes, doesn’t do well without
-Will occasionally windsuck ‘for attention’ so basically won’t windsuck all day in paddock, only wind sucks when you are around and he wants to be annoying or if another horse wants to wind suck on a certain spot he will steal that spot, but this is completely stopped by a collar (even on very loosely) or hot wired fence.
Needs ongoing ulcer management as can be ulcer prone.

Carson has had lots of different types of riders including an 11 yr old girl who did a few competitions on him last year, however he still is a sensitive TB so requires a competent rider and would not suit a beginner or novice rider.
Carson has just returned from a very successful state dressage. He would suit a variety of riders including junior or adult rider.

Trials will only be considered if you come ride him here first. Home is very important as I am very attached to him, very sad sale.
