Description
Due to a change in my circumstances, I’ve made the difficult
decision to find a new home for my beautiful boy, Callisto.
I bought him 3.5 years ago as a safe, and well-educated flat
work/trail mount. He is very safe and reliable in the arena and is happy going
out on the trails on his own or in company.
He previously competed medium and trained advanced. My
riding skills do not match this level, but my daughter rides him weekly and
they happily do flying changes and the higher movements together. She has also
done some low level jumping with him. He doesn’t get hot and does whatever she
asks of him, but he is not a natural jumper so more suited to a dressage rider.
The ideal rider for Cally is someone who can enjoy his high
level of training but not push him at the higher levels at this stage in his
life. Cally is an honest horse and tries hard to please his rider but is not
suitable for a beginner as he could get tense (although not misbehave) if he
isn’t given clear instructions. Likewise, he will be happier with a calm,
confident rider.
Cally is beautifully natured - he loves a brush, has no
issues being tied up, stands well for the farrier and is excellent to handle in
general. He self-loads on the float and travels well, both alone and with other
horses.
He’s very hardy and has never had any health or soundness
issues. He’s up to date with teeth, farrier etc.
His price is firm at $8k. His PDS Carl Hester saddle can be
sold with him for an extra $1500.
Cally will only be sold to the very best of homes and is
only available for viewing on the weekend.
