Description
Henry is a 16.1hh rising 12 off the track thoroughbred who has been with me since he came off the track at 3. He has previously evented to EV80 with the view of going up the grades prior to me starting a family.
Since then, we have been focussing on show jumping and dressage, competing at 90 in show jumping, and elementary dressage, working towards medium. Henry and I have not been out competing much since 2022, but he regularly attends adult riders, lessons, clinics and training days. Our biggest focus has been on dressage (and bush riding!) in the last 12 months, working towards changes and half pass.
Henry has consistently scored in the 60% range at elementary and is established at this level. He has numerous wins and placings for dressage, show jumping and eventing, and despite not competing recently has been regularly training at home and in lessons. He is a solid cross country horse, good with water, banks and ditches. Henry is a careful show jumper and is solid in this phase. He has regularly trained up to 1m and has the scope to go higher.
Henry is good to shoe, clip, worm and float, though he prefers having the divider to the side. Henry is registered with EA and has an off the track passport. He is good in the bush on his own and in company. He isn’t a spooky horse and is good with traffic. Henry is a lovely horse to have around and his sale has not been an easy decision.
Henry is a very friendly horse who tries hard to please. He would suit someone who is calm and confident wanting a fun horse to compete on and learn with, who can help him in the moments he gets a bit worried. He thrives off regular work and likes variety in what he does. He is in full work, up to date with worming, farrier, dentist and vet work and ready for his new person to have fun with.
