Trooper is known for being the ultimate all rounder with a big personality that is hard not to love. He’s a been there done that participating in a variety of things over the years such as pony club, showjumping, eventing, Grand Prix & hicksteads, mounted games (PPMG & MGA), the Perth Royal Show, beach days, bareback, you name it! With this, Trooper is smart he knows what kind of rider he has on his back and will take advantage of someone nervous or inexperienced. To get the best out of him he will need a confident and capable rider we would not recommend him for a first ridden.
Trooper has competed up to 80cm showjumping with superb turns that make him ideal for speed rounds. He has happily trained courses at around 95cm & free jumped 120cm. He has had a couple of eventing starts at 65cm with no problems just needs to be ridden firm on XC, averaging mid 60’s in his dressage tests with potential to move up the grades with the right rider.
He’s known to throw in a buck here and there, we have found this is only when he’s faced with an exciting atmosphere- commonly games ridden with a hot seated rider.
Trooper has mild arthritis in his hocks that is managed by injections, happy to discuss further details with serious buyers.
We will be very picky about homes, he is offered as a lease to buy to ensure he gets the perfect fit. PLENTY of videos upon request.
