Readvertised after I withdrew him, simply because I couldn’t go through with it… and to be completely honest, I’m still not sure I can. This is not a straightforward sale, and if the right home doesn’t come along, he will stay.

George is a 15yo registered Cleveland Bay Sport Horse, standing at 17hh.

I’ve owned him since January 2023, and in that time he has been my constant, taking me eventing, dressage days, beach rides, camping trips, and endless bush rides. He floats quietly, travels anywhere, and genuinely just enjoys being part of whatever you’re doing.

What makes George so special isn’t just what he can do, it’s how he makes you feel. He is incredibly safe, honest, and dependable. He has never once said no to me, never let me down, and no matter the situation, he brings me home safely every single time. He gives you a level of confidence and security that is very rare to find in a horse of his size.

He has no buck, rear, bolt or nasties, and is a pleasure to have around. He absolutely adores kids (especially if they come with snacks), and is the same kind, genuine horse every single day.

This is a truly heartbreaking sale. George is a horse that has my whole heart, but with work commitments I can only keep one riding horse and choosing between two horses I love has been sickening and he deserves more than being second best. He deserves a home where he is cherished, enjoyed, and continues to live a full life.

I am not looking for a competitive, high-pressure home or someone chasing big goals. George is best suited to a mature rider who values safety, trust and enjoyment, someone who wants a beautiful, reliable partner to take out to riding club, lessons, the beach, or simply enjoy at home. He deserves a calm, experienced, and financially stable home where his care and wellbeing are never a question.

My other big ask is I want to stay in the loop, his breeder, first owner and I all adore him and would like to know he is okay and if at any point he needs to be moved on, he ALWAYS has a home to come back to (I will buy him back.)
