Description
If you're looking for your next up and coming all-rounder and jumping superstar...look no further, for I present to you; Smarty.
Standing at roughly 14.3 hands, a stocky 5YO thoroughbred OTT. Smarty only ever raced once roughly 2 years ago and never took any of the Racey brain.
I've been fortunate to have known smarty and done most of the education on her since she was a yearling. She takes everything in her stride and just keeps trying no matter what is asked of her. she understands the basics of flat work, leg yields, starting to understand the aids of the canter and is fairly balanced on circles however does still need work and someone who is experienced enough to take her to the next step.
Smarty LOVES jumping, and she is so good at it. No matter what I put in front of her she takes it in her stride and jumps it. First time out and about, with all the spooky jumps, she jumped them as if she had seen and done it all before, never battered an eye or had a second thought when approaching the jumps. Smarty is a natural when it comes to jumping and her spring is like no other.
She's a horse who can have a year off, jump on and not put a foot wrong, she can be ridden in just a halter, bareback and does everything asked of her.
Smarty is good out on trails with or without another horse, good for the farrier, dentist etc.
Smarty does need an experienced person she learns very quickly and is super willing but with that also come the bad habits as she can develop them just as quickly as the good ones. Smarty can also be a bit pushy on the ground, and the saying goes if given a hand she will take your arm, however if you're on to it and don't let her get away with little things then she won't try to take your arm (not literally). this is only on the ground and to ride her she is a dream, occasionally if she is unsure of something she can get a little fidgety but once given a bit of reassurance she is fine and this is really rare as she has a very forward can-do attitude to almost everything.
I've taken her out a few times now and she takes everything in really well, she can get a bit unsure to start with on the ground but once she started working, she just went straight into the zone.
I'm in no rush to sell her as this is not an easy sale and I would like her to find someone who can use her to her full potential although this is not essential as a good home is the most important thing
