Description
Nova is by Statford Novalis (ISH) out of a Pico Bello (KWPN) x Serheed (TB) mare. With ¼ TB, World Cup Show Jumping, and 4* Eventing in her bloodlines this girl is bred to go to the top of the sport.
Her father Statford Novalis (dec) was the black Irish Sport Horse that Shane Rose took to the Beijing Olympics Test Event with wins and placings at old 2* and 3* (now 3* and 4*). Shane also competed his Son Statford Neo (the sire of King’s Basil Brush 3*) up to old 3* (now 4*), and his daughter Pumpkin to 4*. Pumpkin was more recently campaigned by Katlyn Fletcher up to 3* in WA.
Her Grandsire Pico Bello (dec) Calvados x Joost was a KWPN registered stallion that show jumped to World Cup level with Wins and Placings across Australia with David Dobson. His progeny have competed to World Cup Show Jumping and 2* Eventing, and his line continues to have influence in both sports.
Her Grandam was a TB mare by Serheed that competed to 1* with an Amateur rider. The Serheed Thoroughbred lines are well known in Eventing, with horses like Due Heed winning at old 3* level (now 4*).
Well handled, friendly, confident and curious filly that loads, trucks, stands for the vet and farrier and has started light lunge at walk. Has even been used as a demo horse at one of my clinics. She takes everything in her stride.
Expected to mature 16.3/17hh but already looks about the same size as her 17.1h mother.
Very interesting colour – dark brown but with a lot of flecking all over her body from the Pico Bello line.
Foal registered with AWHA.
Rare chance at this breeding with Statford Novalis frozen straws now very hard to get hold of. True High performance Eventing blood lines in a good looking, well grown package, with a great attitude to life and learning.
With a solid start to her life, this filly is ready for her new home where she can fulfil her potential in the sport she was bred for.
