Attended the Babies and Brats Intensive Liberty Kick Start Course, as well as clinics with Sandy Simmons, David Stuart, Steve Halfpenny and Lee Smith.
Osca is a kind, genuine gelding who would be an ideal partner for an adult returning to riding or someone wanting a safe, steady and enjoyable horse to spend time with. He has done plenty of trail riding and is very laid back, with a calm, sensible nature. He has much more whoa than go, is confidence-giving, and always tries to please. He is happy to plod along, take his time, and genuinely look after his rider.
Osca is easy to manage in every way — good for the farrier, dentist and vet, a genuine good doer, and has no serious injuries or scars. He floats and ties well, is happy with baths, comfortable going through water, and is easy to clip and apply fly spray. Teeth, drenching and feet are all up to date. He has been shod previously and can also wear boots comfortably.
He has done dressage and can jump, with nice buttons, though he is a little rusty. He is sensible, willing, and responsive without being sharp or reactive.
On the ground, Osca is extremely affectionate and people-oriented. He enjoys being involved in whatever you’re doing and will happily follow you around the paddock like a dog. He is not buddy sour and is very settled and independent.
Sadly, he is currently being wasted in the paddock as his owner is travelling for 12 months. He would suit someone looking for a genuine, kind-hearted horse to build confidence, enjoy regular riding, and form a real partnership with.
