Johnny is a Lovley horse who I truly believe has a big future ahead of him with someone who is much more skilled than I am, Johnny is still very very green with limited exposure due to time restraints last year, I’ve owned Johnny for almost 2 years and he is a Lovley horse on the ground, a big smooch and just wants to love you,
He has attended a handful of shows and jumped up to 85cm ShowJumping and attended a event at moora in the 65, every outing he was perfect at
he is great to do most things with, tack up, get on and off ( I have slidden off his bum and done around the world with no one holding him and he was perfect) no buck, bolt, bite, rear etc, in saying this, Johnny is a big boy and can be a difficult ride, he can be a fidget for the farrier, and struggles to load onto new floats, but has never been a horse to plant his feet he just looks and needs reassurance
Johnny is never nasty, nor is he dangerous, but due to being quite green still and due to me not having the skills he needs he still has a lot to learn, Johnny struggles to relax under saddle which we have been working hard at, flat work is his biggest struggle as he carries himself very high and does not know how to find a contact due to being unsettled, he does enjoy going out for trail rides and can be ridden by himself an with others and is no drama but does get exited when out on trails, nothing nasty just forward and jig joggy, due to his size he is a strong horse to ride an does get heavy in your hands, again I do believe this is due to his lack of education on the flat
Johnny is perfect with other horses in the paddock, no separation anxiety, he is a pretty laid back horse that doesn’t care about much, he has been exposed to motorbikes, dogs, cows, sheep, Dosent care about cars or trucks flying past etc
He is up to date with feet, teeth, worming and vaccines
I do enjoy having Johnny around and won’t let him go to just anyone, unfortunately I have a injury and won’t be back in the saddle for quite some time, therefore this isn’t going to do Johnny any good for his training, I do also believe I am not knowledgeable enough to show Johnny the ropes
