✨ MOTHER’S DREAM PONY ✨
MC Atta Girl “Lainey Wilson”
(Price negotiable for the perfect home)
It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I offer my beautiful little mare, MC Atta Girl “Lainey Wilson”, for sale.
After recent veterinary investigations, we discovered she has arthritis in her right hock. Because of this, Lainey is only suited to a loving bush hacking, pleasure riding or very low level flatwork home. She absolutely adores jumping, but unfortunately that is no longer the future I want for her.

I am being extremely selective about where she goes. If she was passed from home to home and eventually ended up jumping again, it would absolutely devastate me. She deserves one family who will love her for exactly who she is and give her the quiet, happy life she deserves. I am in absolutely no rush to sell her and will happily wait as long as it takes to find that perfect match.

If I could keep her forever, I absolutely would. Unfortunately, I’m just a little too big for her, and she deserves a little person of her own to love and enjoy her.

Lainey is a stunning 4-year-old, 14hh Appaloosa mare with the kind of temperament people spend years searching for. She has only been under saddle for a handful of months, yet she behaves like a pony with years of experience.

She has never offered to buck, rear, bolt or spook. She is honest, forgiving, kind and genuinely wants to please. Whether she’s in the arena or out on the trails, she gives everything a go without ever making life difficult.
Despite being only four years old, she has already attended Pony Club where she has never put a foot wrong. She doesn’t get hot, doesn’t care what other horses are doing, doesn’t react when others misbehave and is equally happy working alone or in a group. She has even been used as my groundwork demonstration pony, teaching children how to trot up, lead and lunge because she is so patient and reliable.
One of the things that makes this so incredibly heartbreaking is that she has already shown just how special she is.
She recently attended her very first show and was nothing short of divine. She was completely bombproof from the moment she arrived, stood quietly all day, happily wandered around on the buckle and could quite honestly have had my grandpa on board. She didn’t put a single foot wrong, never had a spook or a silly moment, and took everything in her stride like she’d been doing it for years.
With one of my young students, she jumped two beautiful clear rounds to finish 2nd and 3rd in the 30cm and 45cm classes. She was relaxed, quiet, soft and confident all day. It was one of those days that reminded me just how incredibly special this little mare really is, which makes finding her the perfect forever home even more important.

She has beautiful, comfortable paces with a smooth, balanced canter that is easy to sit. Before her diagnosis she confidently tackled poles, small jumps and cross country with her usual brave, willing attitude. Her incredible temperament and trainability are exactly why this decision has been so heartbreaking.
She has been ridden by complete beginners having their very first trots, confidently ridden by children in group lessons and Pony Club, and is also big enough to comfortably carry a small adult. She adapts beautifully to whoever is on her back.
She has also been ridden fully tackless in just a neck rope and bareback in a halter and is exactly the same relaxed, willing pony as she is under full tack.
Now, I see her making the most wonderful bush hacking, pleasure riding or low level flatwork pony. She would be perfect for someone wanting a safe, sensible partner to enjoy quiet adventures, build confidence and simply have fun with. Bred for western, I also think she would absolutely excel in a quiet western home.
On the ground, she is everything you could ask for. She is easy to catch, leads beautifully, happily leads off another horse, ground ties, self-loads onto the float alone or in company, travels quietly, ties up anywhere and stands like an absolute dream for the farrier. She has no separation anxiety, no stable vices and is simply one of those ponies that makes life easy.
She hacks confidently alone or in company, happily crosses water and different terrain, and takes every new challenge with confidence. She has proven herself to be incredibly level-headed well beyond her years.
She is an easy keeper who lives off the smell of an oily rag, has excellent bare feet that only require trimming every six weeks and is a fantastic doer.
Finding a genuinely quiet young pony with this kind of brain is incredibly rare. Temperament cannot be trained, and Lainey has it in abundance. She has a heart of gold, loves her people and has the kindest, sweetest nature. She truly is a once-in-a-lifetime little pony and deserves a family who will treasure her as much as I have.

She is suitable for riders of almost any level. However, because she is still only four years old, complete beginner families should understand that she may occasionally benefit from a tune-up ride from an experienced rider and ongoing coaching, as any young horse does.

No riders over 60kg please.

I would absolutely love to stay involved in her journey and am more than happy to continue coaching her new rider if desired.

She will only be sold to the very best of homes. The right home means far more to me than the price, and I will happily say no if I don’t believe it’s the right fit.

Tack package available for an additional $1,000, including her fitted saddle, bridle, girth, fitted bit and rugs.

Price is negotiable for the perfect home.

No time wasters. No payment plans. No trials. No leases. No dreamers.
