With a heavy heart, we are offering our beautiful Myrtle to the very best of homes.
Myrtle is a stunning 15.3hh grey Andalusian mare with a kind, affectionate nature. She absolutely loves people, has impeccable ground manners and has no nasty vices. She doesn't buck, rear, bite or kick, and is a pleasure to handle in every way.
Originally started under Western saddle before transitioning into English riding, Myrtle has a lovely foundation and is currently in full work, being ridden 4–6 times per week.
Over the past year Myrtle has been ridden by beginners, intermediate and advanced riders, including confident children from 12 years of age. While she has proven herself to be a safe and genuine mare, we believe she will be happiest with an intermediate rider who is looking for a horse to build a genuine partnership with as she is sensitive and looks for reassurance.
Myrtle is a soft, responsive horse who genuinely tries her heart out to please however needs to further her education. She isn't strong or difficult to ride. Like many intelligent Andalusians, she appreciates clear, consistent riding and may occasionally toss her head if she becomes frustrated or receives inconsistent aids. She responds best to a quiet, confident rider with soft hands. She has 3 lovely paces, walk trot and canters, has done poles and grides, limited jumping experience.
She is the type of horse that wants her person. Rather than being shared between lots of different riders, hence why she is for sale and has not enjoyed being in our riding program. Myrtle thrives when she can develop trust and consistency with one dedicated rider/owner. We believe this is where she will truly shine.
She would be perfectly suited to someone looking for:

- Trail riding and hacks
- Continuing her English education
- Returning to or continuing in Western riding
- A genuine partner to enjoy and grow with
This is an incredibly genuine sale. Myrtle owes us absolutely nothing. We simply want to find her a forever home where she can build a lasting partnership with someone who will appreciate the wonderful mare she is.
She is barefoot trimmed every 6 weeks, up to date with worming and teeth,
She is a true gentle lady, not a typical mare with impeccable manners loves to be around humans and other horses, especially ponies.
