who I have owned for over 9 years. She has taken me through many disciplines including
Eventing, Show Jumping, Dressage and Tent Pegging, proving to be an amazing
Pony Club Mount. She loves x-country, has an honest jump and is consistent in
the dressage arena. We competed up to 95cm (had been higher with previous
owner), however, since working full time over the past couple of years, Vee has
continued Pony Club and has predominantly been out at Dressage days. She has
been competing well at Novice level, training at Elementary and has established
ridden in a snaffle. She can be left in a paddock for a break and will come
back first ride without a fuss. She is
well mannered on a lunge and stays out on the circle, even when asked to halt. She
is good on roads and out in the bush alone or in company.
horse. She loves attention but can be a typical moody mare, which is all part
of her charm. Vee would suit an adult rider or young pony cluber, wanting a reliable
float all day. Vee is best in an angle load float, however I have always had
her in my straight load with the centre divider to the side. She is good for
the farrier, does not buck, bolt, rear, etc, but will try to nip when being fed / rugged.
She will occasionally kick out at other horses if they encroach on her personal
space, however, she has always been paddocked with another horse and out at competitions, it hasn’t been an issue.
have recently put her on Pentosan to keep her comfortable as she gets older.
girl would not be up for sale. She is my heart horse and a much-loved member of
our family. She has so much left to give someone and will be wasted in the
paddock. Price is negotiable and a long-term free lease will be considered to
the right home.
rugs. Her Vega jump saddle is available for purchase separately.
