Description
Eliva Assayer – Creeky
A competitive all rounder, 11yo 16.2hh thoroughbred.
With 3 beautiful paces this horse could excel in your chosen discipline however has spent the last year focusing on eventing. He also has a beautiful head so could go to a show home! He’s a lovely solid type of horse with a great over track in the walk. Easy to shoe, float etc. he’s not 100% sure on clipping but doesn’t hate it.
Competing 80/95 eventing & 1m show jumping, training 1* XC and novice dressage, he would suit a capable confident rider with a strong seat who would love to stick to the lower levels.
His recent placings include:
1st 80cm Oakford Jump X
2nd 80cm OTT at WAYER
2nd 80cm OTT at Dryandra
4th 80cm Open at State Show Jumping Championships. With 1st, 2nd and 3rd being little ponies that’s a win in my books
Raced under Settlers Creek, he was a successful racehorse winning over $510,000 and has a very cheeky but fun to be around personality. He retired racing early 2020 but had a spell so has only been in work for roughly 8-12 months. He has quite the support crew, he was definitely a stable favourite in the racing industry adding to his cocky ego.
He is a super clever and a fast learner, picking up lateral work really quickly if dressage is your way to go. He understands the concept of leg yield, does great shoulder ins, walk to canter and has started to work on travers. Because of his cleverness he gets bored of arena work so requires regular outings or changes in work type.
He is a very quirky horse however, so requires a very confident and knowledgeable home. Happy to discuss this further if interested.
He excels in the competition atmosphere, usually performing some of his best work at comps however is horse shy in the warmups so needs a thinking rider to support him through.
He’s very much a horse that needs to be centre of attention, he can’t just be a number and unfortunately I’ve got 3 other horses in work so that’s not possible. He performs better with consistent work as long as it’s changed up often.
Great at the beach and if I had to chose a horse to ride bareback it would be him. Still green to competitions though. He’s only done 7 events, 4 eventing, 1 show jump, 1 dressage and a cross country day.
It’s a hard sale, my grandad who recently passed away bred this horse so I would love to keep him if I could. Unfortunately retiring from racing later than most he won’t suit the high levels but with easy maintenance he is perfect for the lower heights!
He was my first straight off the track and I couldn’t have asked for a better one to set me up for the future. There hasn’t been a dull moment with Creeky in our lives but he’s always up for just spending time with you. You could sit in the paddock with him for hours.
No time wasters. I love this little horse but unfortunately he had always planned to be a project
