Kiara Quick Silver – Hunter
Welsh x Australian Riding Pony
Hunter is a 6 yr old Welsh x Australian riding pony, approx. 14 hh. Hunter is a fun and clever little pony with a sweet and cheeky personality. Hunter is still very green and will need continual work and further education. He will only go to the best of homes!
I am selling him as I bought him with the intention to sell him after a couple years of training. I have also outgrown him, and he deserves someone who has the time to progress him further. In the right hands, he will excel and progress into an amazing little pony, and will make someone very happy!
Hunter has had plenty of ground work education, including lunging, ponying out on trails, and foundational work such as learning to come off pressure, and desensitization to ropes tarps etc…
Hunter has been started under saddle and has been doing very well with ridden work. He enjoys going out on the trails and can be very relaxed and happy.
When he was first started and ridden in the arena he would lose forward and motivation, but more recently this has improved and I think will continue to improve over time.
Hunter is good to stand tied up, groom, tack up and have feet done, and is good to float. He is good with farm machinery, and is happy to be led off quad bikes, tractors ect…
Hunter does come with his quirks, and needs an experienced home who is able to put the time and effort into him. He does push boundaries, and in the past has expressed aggressive behavior because he was able to get away with it, so he needs consistency with boundaries and someone who is able to keep him engaged.
Hunter would suit an adult rider who is mostly looking to trail ride and have fun exploring different disciplines. He is not suitable for children as he does need someone with more experience and with a higher skill level.
