Well bred Gelding Malakand Wanderer, 14.2hh (solid horse) gypsy cob / Arabian gelding. 6 years old.
Sire: Hemlock (imp UK), Gypsy Cob
Dam: Top Fancy Micazah, Arabian
Wandi is athletic but solid and could excel in endurance, jumping or the dressage ring. He is ready to try it all and find his niche. Wandi was started in June with 4 weeks training and then lightly ridden. He is back with his trainer and has now had a total of 7 weeks of saddle ridden training with a quality trainer.
He has all the buttons established to take him in any direction in his ridden career and has the looks and movement for the show ring.
Over the years Wandi has attended groundwork lessons and natural horsemanship style clinics. Wand has been ridden by adults and trainers in arenas, on roads and the trail. He is learning about Trott poles and recently carried a rider over his first jump. Taking it all in his stride and wanting to do more.
Curious about the world, Wandi looks forward to new adventures, he loves to learn and tries hard to please. We love his proud swagger when he picks up something new. He likes to offer newly learnt abilities in his training sessions.
Wandi seeks out his people and is a smooch, loves to just hangout or have a scratch and cuddle. A bit of a larrikin he is the first to ‘help’ with all chores. His love of picking up our farriers tools and stealing his trainers crop keeps us all giggling.
Vice-Wandi is forward and has high energy and can be anxious if he isn’t sure what his rider/handler is asking him. He is still green under saddle therefore needs an experienced/confident horse person to be his leader.
He needs an older teen or adult that will enjoy his sense of fun and love of learning and exploring new things while respecting his thresholds. Expanding his thresholds respectfully.
Being a solid boy he can carry curvy adults.
He Wouldn’t suit a child at current level of training/exposure but would suit a confident child in the future with a confident parent at the helm.
