Up to date w tetanus & strangles, worming and feet.
Patiently broken over the past six months in a family and riding school setting. Handled and ridden by children most days, at 6 Alfie is an ideal age where maturity is evident both physically and mentally.
Not pushy on the ground and respectful at feed time. Children load him into the float with ease. Easy to catch, groom and tack up. Stands for hours to be washed and groomed.
Alfie’s had myself and my kids under instruction showing him the ropes. Alfie’s proven to be a smart little guy with loads of spunk. Although green and still nervous in new environments I feel Alfie has the potential for great things and has a natural flair with movement to die for.
From weeks of desensitisation, exposure and encouragement on the ground, to ridden work that proves he has the moves. Alfie’s got what it takes to bring a young rider far if they’re willing to continue his education.
Beach trips, bush trails, confidently hacking out alone or in a group. Happy up front or behind in big groups or in new terrain. Not fussed about dogs and motorbikes out on the trails, as well as being paddocked alongside alpacas, sheep and emus. Alfie’s been used as a demo pony for training at my little riding school where he’s shown he’s ready for a more permanent setting to be someone’s sole riding partner.
My kids enjoy taking him out bush for picnics where he is starting to demonstrate boldness popping over creeks and logs.
He’s still got loads to learn and is being sold as a green started pony who’d benefit from being educated further in his flat work. Unfortunately you can see in the photos he’s just too small for my tweens.
His next home must be an experienced home as he is still learning the ropes and these next few months are integral in continuing his journey. Someone willing to keep up with lessons and hone his skills, who won’t let cheeky pony tricks slip in!
His size means he’s still perfect for a tune up by an adult when required.
I have literally hours of video and plenty of photos. No trials. Vet check welcome.
