Description
Soraya (Ray) is a 10-year-old, 16hh Hanoverian Warmblood mare, sired by Showdown, with plenty of potential for the right rider who is willing to put in the time and effort. She is a forward-going horse, though can be a little sluggish at times, and thrives with a confident, consistent rider. A confident junior or adult rider would suit her best. Ray is great with cows and gets along well with other horses. She is generally easy to handle, tie, and float.
Ray has competed in basic dressage tests, showjumping up to 85 cm, jumped up to 110 cm at home, and has also competed in 80 cm cross-country. She absolutely loves her bush rides.
Ray has recently started coming back into work after a break due to school commitments limiting regular riding time. She has remained in light use for cattle work during this period. When first returning to work, she can feel a little stiff through her hind end, which is settling as her workload increases. She is due to be massaged on Tuesday to support her return to full work and overall comfort.
She would also be considered as a brood mare for the right five-star home. Ray is a kind, willing mare who is ready to continue progressing in her next home.
