5yo Palomino Quarter Horse Mare | 14.3hh
Trixie is a gorgeous 5-year-old palomino Quarter Horse mare with plenty of potential to develop into a lovely all-rounder.
Trixie absolutely loves getting out and about on the trails and this is where the majority of her ridden experience has been. She is fantastic trail riding in the company of another horse and has also been ridden out on her own. When alone she can occasionally lack confidence and have a spook, but it is nothing nasty — she simply looks to her rider for reassurance.
Her arena education is still very green. She has established walk and trot work, while her canter is still a work in progress and something she is continuing to build confidence with.
Trixie has also previously done a small amount of sheep and general farm work with her previous owner.
We believe Trixie would make a fantastic project for a capable rider wanting a young horse to bring on and make their own. With further education, she has the potential to become a really fun and versatile all-rounder. Alternatively, she would be very well suited to someone wanting a trail riding horse, as she genuinely enjoys getting out of the arena and exploring.
Trixie can be spooky at times and, while her spooks are not nasty, she does need a confident and competent rider/handler who won’t be worried by this and can continue building her confidence. For this reason, she is not suitable for a nervous or beginner rider.
A very pretty young mare with plenty of life ahead of her, looking for the right person to continue her education and enjoy her.
