Description
Eddie is petite so suit a small rider - teenager or small adult. We purchased Eddie in July, with the hopes he would be my daughters junior competition horse. He has a lovely personality, a family member, and easy for all ages and abilities to handle on the ground. He is probably the friendliest thoroughbred we have ever come across. Unfortunately he has struggled on the hard ground, and handle the competition work load we had purchased him for.
Eddie has done
* Equitation
* Stock Work
* Showjumping
* Eventing
* Hacking & Dressage
* Pony Club
He is a thoroughbred, has typical thoroughbred moments and has also done a year of jumping before us, so wouldn't suit a beginner or nervous rider. He has very light aids and would be ok with a confident novice rider who has an independent seat under supervision of a coach. He loves to work in company, fantastic at pony club, loves group work and stand patiently in a line up for ages. He had spent the last year or so doing jumping with his previous owner who also did eventing, hacking and dressage. The owner before her did working equitation.
He has a soft kind way of going, light to the aids, and ridden off an independent seat. Can be ridden bareback and in a halter. Someone in his past has put a bit of work into him schooling elementary level movements. He loves to keep his mind busy and has shown a real love for inhand work. He would really suit someone who wanted to do a lot more liberty/inhand/ even trick training without a daily full time riding workload. Someone with a busy life who wants just an easy horse to have fun on, lessons, ride at adult riding or even western dressage. He may even suit a RDA centre or Therapy Group where the work load is lower, and so many people to entertain and cuddle, or given his all-round education possibly a coach to use for private riding lessons.
He was out of work from September, but has is now coming into light work. New photos added.
He is a wind sucker. He needs to be part of someones family. Loves being ridden with others so suit someone who always rides with a small group. For the right home, he will make someone a wonderful best friend.
