14yo Chestnut Thoroughbred Mare
14‑year‑old chestnut Thoroughbred mare offered for sale on
behalf of owner.
Dudey is easy to handle and well‑mannered on the ground.
She is easy to catch, worm, rug and trim, ties up well, and is straightforward
to saddle. She is an easy, quiet mount and self‑loads on the float.
No buck, bolt or rear.
Under saddle, Dudey is forward and can be strong, so
she will best suit an experienced, confident rider who is comfortable
with Thoroughbreds. With the right rider, she is honest and willing. She would
suit a confident teenager or adult looking for a straightforward horse
with no ground vices.
Dudey has been to adult riders and on trail rides where she
did very well and took everything in her stride. I have jumped her to 65cm at
home, and I have been told she jumped up to 100cm with her owner in the past.
Dudey has benefited from consistent handling and care and is
currently in good condition. She travels well and is sensible in new
environments.
She is currently paddocked with a pony, has been paddocked
alone and in company, she is the boss but is not nasty about it.
Dudey can come clipped at no extra charge should the buyer
wish, as she is naturally a warm horse. Can come with some rugs.
