Event Details

Are you forever being told the same thing by your coach and just can’t seem to get it? Whatever “It” may be!! Perhaps you are collapsing one way, leaning forwards or too far back, blocking in transitions or have a wild hand that just doesn’t do as it is told! Most of the time riders are not even aware that they are doing these things. If they were, then they wouldn’t do them!To make long lasting change, the first thing is to become more aware of what you are doing and then the second is to open up new neural pathways so that it becomes normal not to do the undesired habit anymore. Believe it or not, it is actually way easier than you can imagine to make these changes using clever techniques to explore and understand proprioception and key words to take advantage of our mind/body connection and reprogram different movements and feelings.   Be prepared to be blown away! This clinic is amazing and you will leave with a new appreciation of just what is possible for you to achieve as a rider much easier than you ever thought!    The Rider Aware clinic will enable riders to identify stiffness, gripping and unnecessary muscular tension, and help correct weaknesses and asymmetry. They will become more as one with their horse and easier for their horse to carry.  Riders will develop the ability to absorb the forces of their horses’ movement, so they can start to move in complete harmony with their horse.  The Rider Aware clinic begins with really fun, unmounted standing and sitting exercises for developing body awareness, flexibility, and stability, particularly through the pelvis. Then this work is continued under saddle, often with truly incredible results! Yards are available for the horses.
