Event Details

Quirky twist on the October 18 eventing long rein event!!!!!!

Spectators will be welcomed and encouraged; we have a photographer booked and trade stalls in the making…. but best of all we hope we have you!!!!
Numbers limited again to make the day fun and run smooth!!!! First in and paid will get a spot, again no entry forms you just let us know your name, your ponies name and height, we will send you an invoice to pay and that puts you in the competition…..you have a few months to get fit lol!!!!

Eventers are gonna love this one!!!! Its long rein eventing with a twist: –
– we still have to be safe (ie closed in shoes, no high heels) buttttttttt……jacket for dressage and showjumping can be the same or change jackets for each, can be a cheapie from the op shop or can be your fanciest hacking jacket with a wow factor down below lol!!!! Wear it with a tutu, a skirt, shorts whatever takes your fancy!!!!!!!! Correct and safe gear for your pony, if you want to dress her/him up, go your hardest! Open bridle, bitless bridle, Blinkers, half cups all permitted and you need to work in whats safest/best for your pony

– you need to partake in all 3 sections to qualify for the overall placings

– you will get a number that you have to incorporate into your outfit, now the volunteers we have aren’t young, so be nice and make the number large so we can read it (well some may be young, but majority are older!)

– you will get times, one for your dressage, one for the SJ and one for the cross country, so you have to present at the arena a smidge before you time ready to go…times will be posted on our page before the event

– dressage will be in our main arena and the test is currently being finalised and will be released in the coming weeks. We have a judge TBA (but have nearly confirmed) highest score is best (we are not quite working on all eventing rules, the dressage judge will judge per the test and higher score will put you in top spot) and yes we will have a leader board so you can all keep an eye on what is happening through out the day (I am working on food van so that will be happening too or bring a picnic…you will need the stamina)

– Showjumping (let’s not get too carried away there will be no bigger than 20cms, some will even be poles on the ground) will be in the cracker dust arena (and yes, you will get to walk the course like proper little SJ competitors) times will be released for this (same outfit as dressage), it will be timed, if you come under fine, if you go over you lose -1 point per second off your dressage score, refusal will be -2 each, if you get more than 3 on one jump you must go around and then you get another -10 off your score (same as cross country noted below)

– Cross country, always my fav, where your cross country colours!!! That may just be a polo shirt from the op shop or you may have fancy silks, whatever takes your fancy! You will head off from the obstacle park, you will be tackling obstacles around the course, which goes down in front of the house in a big loop, now I am not completely cruel, I understand that you are not on horseback, you will be running or walking so the course will be within breathing distances (for humans, well probably not for me but for most) and yes we have humans on each obstacle ticking you off as you go through (just like cross country) or marking a cross if you get a refusal, you cant be eliminated, remember it is for fun! but if you get a refusal its -2 off your score (can only try it 3 times same as SJ) if you dont get through on third time you have to go around (if you go around you will have another -10 deducted)…….it will be timed, you can come in under but same as SJ, you will be deducted per second if you go over and yes the cross country course will be open for walking and times for this will be released!

WALKING AND TROTTING ONLY, if you horse or pony breaks into a canter please bring it back to a trott
